One of the youngest members of the People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Prananda Surya Paloh has represented North Sumatra I since 2014. He is a member of Commission I of the House of Representatives, which looks after defence, intelligence, foreign affairs, communications and information, and of the Inter-Parliamentary Coorperation Agency. A member of the Nasdem Party, he is considered a leading candidate to take over its leadership.
