“Poyd” Treechada Petcharat is an actress, model, beauty queen and LGBTQ rights activist who is also respected for her savvy business sense.

Poyd Petcharat gained widespread attention when she won the title of Miss Tiffany’s Universe and Miss International Queen in 2004, marking her as one of Thailand's most prominent transgender beauty queens and opening up opportunities in the entertainment and modeling industries.

Poyd models for luxury brands like Off-White, Cartier and Louis Vuitton, and is a sought-after presence in brand events. She made her film debut in With Love (2010), going on to appear in Spicy Beauty Queen of Bangkok 2 (2012), The White Storm (2013), From Vegas to Macau II (2015), Insomnia Lover (2016) and Witch Doctor (2016).

Her success has contributed to challenging stereotypes and promoting greater acceptance and visibility for the transgender community in Thailand and beyond, and she has been happy to embrace her role as an LGBTQ+ rights advocate by speaking openly about her personal journey as a transgender woman. In 2013 she participated in parliamentary discussions for the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Thailand.

Also known an entrepreneur, she is the managing director of Biomtpharma, a company that produces health supplements.

In 2023 she married businessman Phakwa Hongyok in a ceremony in Phuket. Petcharat made the news for her lavish wedding dress, a traditional Chinese ensemble that was reported to be priced at about US$580,000.
