Piphat Apiruktanakorn

Co-Founder, Kid Kid

Tatler Asia

Piphat made his silver screen debut in the film The Bodyguard (2004) alongside action legend Tony Jaa. The actor turned designer and social entrepreneur has been advocating environmental issues for over a decade. Turning that passion into actionable policies, he earned a master’s degree with a thesis in the field of ecodesigns. He then co-founded the country’s first eco design and consultant service, Kid Kid, with his wife Siraphun Wattanajinda. They believe that “they can make a better world by design with eco concern in mind.” The award-winning company has partnered with major players to promote environmental sustainability through design in various formats including advertisement spots, products and applications. For example, his page-saving notebook called “0.4921” earned a Commerce Ministry Eco Award in 2013 by ‘simply’ boosting the number of ruled lines per page. For Piphat, it’s more than just a job. It’s about educating the public on pressing issues that are often overlooked in a country that has problems with pollution, deforestation and resource scarcity.
