Senior anchor Pinky Webb solidifies herself as the face of CNN’s public affairs news

It didn’t take long for veteran news anchor and correspondent Pinky Webb to be the face of one of CNN Philippines’ flagship news programs after its inception in 2015.

Launched amid the rise of the Duterte regime, The Source has since then simultaneously shed a light and been under the national spotlight, introducing famous personalities from politics and business. From probes on the controversial drug war and the rising conflict in the West Philippine Sea, down to the daily COVID-19 case tally, Webb has audaciously broadcasted public affairs from a fresh perspective that is both bold and neutral, while just daring enough to keep public officials on their toes to deliver truthful news to the public.

As a new chapter for the country opens with the upcoming 2022 Presidential Elections, Webb will continue to have a plate full of public affairs news—a situation not new for the seasoned journalist of over 20 years.
