Ping Chu, founder of Ken Meng (Aveda), leads Taiwan’s quest for sustainable consumer culture


Ping Chu brought environmentally sustainable and socially responsible consumer culture to Taiwan by founding Ken Meng (Aveda). With environmental protection and aesthetics as the core of the company, Ken Meng believes in a sales method that does not cut costs and does not cut prices.  

When Chu founded Ken Meng in 1995, he hoped to break the traditional retail method and establish a new consumption concept for Taiwan. The company abandons low-cost, fast-processed products, and explores new ideas of environmental protection in different parts of Taiwan. Chu is considered as one of the leaders of Taiwan’s life aesthetics.
