At 21, Pie ran for Mayor and never looked back. As the Mayor of San Vicente Palawan, and the youngest female mayor in Philippine history, the Boston University alum, who graduated from International Business with a concentration on environmental technology and public law, set about implementing changes. Her main goal was to alleviate poverty through sustainable livelihood programs and tourism projects. Mayor Pie opened the first hospital, college, and has drawn plans for new establishments. For example, a Resort community that will shelter families living in danger zones while offering job opportunities to improve their quality of life. Next, a Learning Center that will offer education and training, and will allow both students and residents to acquire new skills. Additionally, as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum, she was among the first 70 Shapers to attend the 2012 Annual Meeting in Davos, and was again selected to be part of the East Asia Leaders Summit in Bangkok. To explore another passion of hers, this time indulging her stylish side, Pie entered the fashion industry. At 28, she launched high-end brand, LCP [Love, Candy Pie], where one can seek unique fashion finds and playful jewelry in a luxurious setting.
