The artist’s distinctively enchanting, surrealistic, fairy tale-inspired illustrations have earned her global recognition

Phannapast Taychamaythakool is among a new wave of Thai artists, channeling her love for Thai-Chinese and Southeast Asian cultures through vibrant, fantastical illustrations infused with animal and floral motifs. Her unique style quickly gained international recognition, catching the eye of Gucci’s former creative director Alessandro Michele, who enlisted her to create enchanting visuals for the brand’s Le Marché de Merveilles jewellery collection and the iconic Gucci Art Wall in New York.

Phannapast has since collaborated with global names like Instagram and Vespa, showcasing her imaginative vision. In 2024, she was selected by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Fukuoka and the Department of International Trade Promotion in Hiroshima to represent Thai artistry at the 9th Art Fair Asia Fukuoka (AFAF), as well as at the Celestial Rainbows: The Lost Zodiac of Summer Palace exhibition in Singapore.
