Chairman of Vingroup
A visionary entrepreneur and Vietnam’s richest man, Pham Nhat Vuong has built an empire that spans multiple industries, shaping the country’s modern economic landscape
After graduating from the University of Mining and Geology, he pursued further studies and business ventures in Russia. In the early 1990s, he returned to Vietnam and launched an instant noodle company, laying the foundation for his future success. He soon shifted his focus to real estate and tourism, founding Vingroup—a conglomerate that has since become a dominant force in numerous sectors.
Under his leadership, Vingroup has achieved remarkable milestones. In real estate, the company stands among Vietnam’s premier developers, with landmark projects such as Vinhomes Symphony and Vinhomes Gardenia, while its Vinpearl resort system boasts over 18,000 international-standard hotel rooms. Vingroup has also made a lasting impact in healthcare and education, with the Vinmec international hospital network and the pioneering Vinschool system.
Expanding beyond real estate, Pham Nhat Vuong has propelled Vietnam onto the global stage with VinFast, the country’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer. In March 2024, he was named one of the 50 most influential figures in the global automotive industry by MotorTrend, the esteemed American car magazine.
