Entrepreneurs create regional retail ecosystems

Mr. Pham Dinh Doan is a Vietnamese businessman with a solid academic background, holding a PhD in Economics, a Master of Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology, and has completed a leadership training program at Stanford University. With his systematic thinking and strategic capacity, he is a trusted advisor to many domestic and foreign enterprises, and plays an active role in organizations supporting startups, education and community development. In 2022, he was honored by the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as one of the Top 10 Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneurs, recognizing his outstanding contributions to socio-economic and sustainable business development.

Phu Thai was established in 1993, at the peak of Vietnam's integration into the global economy, based on the observations and practical experiences of Chairman Pham Dinh Doan in countries such as France and Thailand. After more than three decades of development, Phu Thai has expanded into an ecosystem of more than 50 member companies, operating in many fields with a clear structure and long-term orientation. With Phu Thai Holdings, Pham Dinh Doan pioneered the modern retail distribution model in Vietnam since the 1990s, cooperating with international corporations such as Land Rover (UK), Caterpillar (USA) and Berli Jucker (Thailand). In particular, he "changed the position" of Land Rover in Vietnam, turning it from a luxury brand into a more popular luxury car icon. He also led the group to achieve continuous growth of over 40%/year in many stages, with sales of thousands of billions of VND, contributing to the national GDP.
