Peter Zhang leads Vanguard Investment Advisors, a joint venture between US asset manager Vanguard and Chinese fintech firm Ant Financial focused on Chinese retail consumers. It runs the BangNiTou robo- advisory app, which allows a minimum investment of just 800 yuan (about US$125). After launching in late 2019, it gained more than a million users in less than a year.
