CEO and co-founder, Catcha Group
Building and scaling tech ventures that shape how millions across the region live, work and connect
Since his debut in 1999 with Catcha Digital, Patrick Grove has been a driving force behind Southeast Asia’s digital evolution. Drawing inspiration from global innovations, his impact is manifold across various sectors, from entertainment with iFlix to automotive with iCar Asia and Carsome, Malaysia’s first unicorn. A key milestone in his entrepreneurial journey includes the acquisition of iProperty by REA Group in 2016 for an impressive AU$751 million.
In mid-2023, Grove celebrated a significant milestone as Catcha Digital achieved its IPO on the ACE market of Bursa Securities, marking his sixth successful IPO across three exchanges. As one of Malaysia’s 50 wealthiest individuals with a net worth of US$335 million, Grove’s ambition extends beyond financial success—he is widely recognised as one of Southeast Asia’s most influential global entrepreneurs.
In a new chapter for Catcha Digital, Grove has partnered with former politicians Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahril Hamdan to launch KS Lagi, a disruptive digital media venture that builds upon the success of Keluar Sekejap, a popular political podcast co-hosted by Khairy and Shahril. The goal is to diversify the KS Lagi platform, reaching approximately 20 million Malaysians monthly through Catcha Digital's extensive network.
The partnership is yet another triumphant achievement for Grove, whose guiding vision has always been to revolutionise Southeast Asia’s tech landscape.
