The co-founder of G Steel PLC, Khun Ying Patama Leeswadtrakul was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee in 2017, making her the first Thai woman (and the fourth Thai) to hold the position. She adds this achievement to a list of successes across various business sectors including steel manufacturing, hotels, healthcare, real estate, logistics, and investments. She also serves as co-founder of Asia Metal, Chularat Hospital, Leo Global Logistics and Arnoma Hotels Group along with G Steel and GJ Steel.

A noted philanthropist, she is married to Dr Somsak Leeswadtrakul, listed by Forbes as among Thailand's wealthiest.
