“If you fail faster, you’ll succeed sooner” – meet Thailand’s ultimate tech guru, someone who is not afraid to fail. Patai is the successful genius behind Builk Asia—winner of the 2012 Echelon Startup Launchpad event— a company that provides free digital services and tools such as the SiteWalk app for the construction industry. The ad-supported platform now serves over 25,000 SMEs in five ASEAN countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. They are raising funds that will fully realize the potential of the technological platform, and will be used to develop artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and expansion plans to all 10 ASEAN countries. Additionally, he founded and served as president of the Thailand Tech Startup Association, and continues to help the government spread awareness about new tech businesses and Thailand 4.0 initiatives. Named the Startup Leader of the Year 2016 by the National Innovation Agency, his philosophy is to encourage others to explore creative solutions, to “make it happen, make it better, then make it cheaper for everyone.”
