Tired of having to jump through hoops to get tickets for small scale shows, in August 2015, then 22 years old Panupong launched Ticketmelon, an online ticketing system that bridged a gap in Bangkok’s indie music scene. For example, Ticketmelon was the exclusive ticketer for sell-out concerts by the likes of Cigarettes After Sex and Crystal Castles. Now, it has expanded to become a multi-purpose digital ticket distrubtor for events of all sizes, and allows people to create, sell, promote and validate their tickets all on one platform from the convenience of their fingertips. They have also partnered up to sell tickets for the then-small Wonderfruit Festival, which has now exploded in popularity.
