SCB 10X has allowed Thailand’s Siam Commercial Bank to reinvent itself as a backer of innovation and disruptive technologies. The technology venture capital fund was established in 2016 as Digital Ventures by Pailin “Pie” Vichakul, who soon found she preferred the VC world to traditional banking. In addition to tech startups, SCB 10X also invests in companies in areas including health and wellness.
