Leader and lead singer, SB19
John Paul “Pablo” Nase is the lead vocalist of P-pop boy band SB19
SB19 has stoked the flames of cultural pride and global ambition with their brand of modern Filipino pop. The five-member group comprises John Paulo Nase—known professionally as Pablo—(leader, vocalist and primary creative director), Stellvester Ajero (main vocalist and performance director), Ken Suson, AKA as Felip (main dancer and vocalist), Josh Cullen Santos (lead rapper and choreographer) and Justin De Dios (vocalist and visual director). In 2025 they swept six major honours at the Filipino Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Pop Song of the Year for “Dungka!” and Concert & Tour of the Year for Simula at Wakas, marking a defining moment in their ascent.
Their artistic output in recent years has been both prolific and acclaimed. The group’s third EP, Simula at Wakas, released in April 2025, delivered chart-topping singles such as “Dam,” the first Filipino song to debut at number one on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Their expanding collaborations—from Apl.de.Ap on “Ready” and Gloc-9 on “Kalakal,” to their 2025 release “Umaaligid” with Sarah Geronimo—added new texture to their evolving sound, complemented by major wins at the Wish 107.5 Music Awards and earlier triumphs at the Awit Awards for “Gento.”
Their international presence continues to strengthen. SB19’s 2025 world tour featured a sold-out Philippine Arena show and multiple dates across North America and Asia, demonstrating the scale of their global fanbase. Their appearance on Japan’s The First Take, performing “Gento” and “Mapa,” introduced them to new audiences and earned notable placements on Japanese charts. Their cultural impact was formally recognised through the NCCA SUDI Award in October 2024, where each member received a Murillo Velarde 1734 Map replica for their contributions to Philippine music.
Their fans, A’TIN, remain an unmatched force, securing a second consecutive championship in the Billboard Fan Army Face-Off and supporting milestones such as SB19 becoming the first Filipino act to win Favorite Asian Act at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. As the group continues to break barriers both at home and abroad, SB19 stands as a defining figure in the rise of contemporary Filipino music on the world stage.
