Otto Ng is the design director of LAAB Architects, an architecture and art studio at the cutting edge of design and technology. Co-founded with Yip Chun Hang, the firm takes a multi-disciplinary approach, employing engineers and sociologists alongside architects and designers.

LAAB’s most notable projects include several elements of shopping centre K11 Musea and the waterfront development housing it, Victoria Dockside; M+ museum restaurants; several Leica stores around Asia; and Cartier’s North Asia headquarters. The firm was made Design Studio of the Year by INDE Awards in 2020, and has also been recognised by the Japan Good Design Awards, Frame Awards and ArchDaily Top 100.

Before co-founding the firm, Ng worked in the US, UK and Italy for organisations including Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Foster + Partners, and the Richard Rogers Partnership. From 2015 to 2019 he was also a professor at The University of Hong Kong, lecturing on design computation and digital fabrication.
