Olle Chen was only 35 when he was handed the reins to Hop Lion Feather Works, a company founded by his great-great-grandfather in 1908. Today, Hop Lion supplies one sixth of the world’s down, including raw materials for top brands Moncler and Canada Goose.

To mark the new era, the fifth-generation Olle Chen created his own brand called Health Life, a range of products that use technology and big data to help consumers find the most suitable bedding for them, whether it be an insulated performance comforter or a customized, high-end eiderdown duvet. Showing his investment in the circular economy, he also launched Taiwan’s first duvet butler service which cleans pillows, replaces old down, and even stores duvets to help maintain their fluffy shape, all free of charge.
