Since setting up Domaine Architects with Masyerin Mohamad Nor, the firm has grown its portfolio to include institutional buildings, boutique hotels, service apartments, condominiums, townhouses, private residences, hospitality, and corporate interiors.

The firm has received multiple awards for its notable projects. One of the most recent is KLoé Hotel in Bukit Bintang, which won the PAM Gold Award 2020 in the Hospitality Category and The Edge Malaysia-PAM Green Excellence Award 2020. The 85-room hotel celebrates local talents in its design and decor, and the building maximises natural light and airflow with a unique hand-made quality.

Kapas condominium, an arresting landmark in the urban Bangsar landscape, won the PAM Gold Gold Award in 2021 in the Multiple Residential High Rise category. It was singled out for its strong architectural features and a triumph of site-specific design.

Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Norashidah graduated in 1998 from Adelaide University Australia with a Masters in Architecture. She then worked overseas for international design consultancies such as FITCH (UK) and WD Partners (US). After living on multiple continents and being exposed to different cultures and perspectives, Norashidah returned to Malaysia and registered as a Professional Architect with the Malaysian Board of Architects and Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia or Malaysian Institute of Architects.

Norashidah met fellow architect Masyerin in 1999, and the pair married in 2005, the same year she completed her business degree at University Malaya.

In 2009, she joined Masyerin’s firm named Masyerin MN Architect, which was renamed Domaine Architects, when she came on board. The name combines the scrambled letters of both their names and the firm is a design-based and dynamic architectural firm that strives to create innovative yet sustainable architecture.
