President Director/Chair, Blue Bird Group/Blue Bird Peduli
From the third generation in her family to lead Blue Bird Group, Noni Purnomo transformed the business into a multi-national company that is also the largest taxi operator in the country. Blue Bird began as a small business working out of her family’s garage, but thanks to her vision it now operates in over 20 cities, with nearly 40,000 cars.
Apart from leading the charge in a heavily male-dominated industry, Purnomo also chairs Blue Bird Peduli, the holding company’s foundation, which she founded and which provides education for the children of Blue Bird’s taxi drivers, among other social causes.
Purnomo started working for the company at a very young age, while she took her studies at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and earned a degree in Industrial Engineering. She later obtained her Master’s in Finance and Marketing from the University of San Francisco in the United States.
