Nicoline Patricia Malina is a photographer and educator with an established base in Jakarta. Prior to being a photographer, she studied Fine Art and fashion design at Utretcht and was a make-up artist, a model and a painter. As a result, she has gained a greater understanding of how to bring these elements together to achieve her artistic vision. She has been published in international fashion publications such as Cosmopolitan, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, and works with a range of brands in the Fashion, Hospitality and Lifestyle industries. She established NPM in 2013, a creative artist management and media consultancy that matches artists with clients from all around the world. In addition to curating exhibitions, she constantly hosts photography workshops and events. This led to the founding of The Class by NPM in 2014, a platform through which ambitious photographers can hone their skills. In the same year, she also started her own homeware brand, Älska. Her website, Nicoline’s Journal, was launched in 2015. Since then, the blog documenting her travels and musings has gained over 40k page views for people seeking fashion, travel and photography tips. Amongst her many awards, she received Maybelline’s Make it Happen award in 2017.
