President Director & Chief Executive, Pertamina
Nicke Widyawati is the President Director of Pertamina since 2018, a gas and oil company with more than US$54,6 billion in annual revenue with around 32,000 employees worldwide. She is the only women leader on the top echelons of Pertamina and among the handful of women leading Indonesia's state-owned companies (BUMN). Navigating the giant Pertamina during the pandemic, Nicke has not even reduced the workforce so productions could go as usual throughout Indonesia. Despite last year's challenges of falling oil prices, decreased fuel demand, and exchange rate pressure, Pertamina today has grown stronger and expanded its portfolio to renewable sources. Digitisation is another agenda she pushes further by launching the My Pertamina app and modernising services at gas stations and call centres. In 2020 and 2021, Fortune named Nicke as one out of 50 Most Powerful Women International. She also received the Women's Work of Female Grace award from the Indonesia Asia Institute in 2013.
