Nick Supreda Sotavongse

DJ and Founder, 32 Foundation and Auntys Haus

Born in America to Thai parents, DJ Nick Sotavongse was adopted as a child and raised by his aunts in South California, who “gave him many opportunities to make mistakes”. After college, he returned to Thailand and began hosting small music events. Eventually, his passion for music, art and charity led him to open the popular Blaq Lyte nightclub and Future Factory art space, with profits donated to Thailand orphanages through his 32 Foundation. At the beginning of 2018, Nick hosted an epic 12-hour block party to raise funds for charity, as well as give the city a good time. Nick keeps his social entrepreneurship alive by organising nightlife events demanded by Bangkok’s young globalised crowd. His ultimate goal is to build a quality school for orphans in Nong Khai Province, where his birth father is from. It will focus on after-school programs so children can try new activities and figure out their paths. Unfortunately, the influential nightclubs do not appear to be here to stay. In August 2018, he ran a Pop-Up space with Siam Discovery, featuring six of the hottest streetwear brands under the banner of Auntys Haus, a soon-to-launch streetwear multi-store label.
