Born in 1983, a graduate of the Vocal Music department at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Tùng Dương became known to the public through the Sao Mai Rendezvous competition in 2004, where he won the award voted by the Arts Council. Since then, he has built a singing career based on a pioneering spirit, always seeking a fresh and distinct musical language. His technical, powerful, and emotional voice has allowed him to conquer many genres, from contemporary folk with “Chiec khan pieu” and “Con Cò”, to Electronic, New Age, World Music, and Art-Pop.

Tung Duong holds the record for 14 Dedication Music Awards (as of 2025), including multiple wins in key categories like Male Singer of the Year and Album of the Year. His projects “Cubic Blocks of Color” (2007), “Tiny” (2010), “The Only Path” (2013), “Tree Roots” (2018), and “Human” (2021) clearly demonstrate his experimental spirit. His latest album, Multiverse (2024), continues to affirm his boundless creative mindset, with the song “Rebirth” winning Song of the Year at the 2025 Dedication Awards. In the same year, he became the first Vietnamese artist to receive the International Special Award at the Music Awards Japan 2025, opening a new milestone for Vietnamese music in the international arena.
