Nguyen Trong Khang

Nguyen Trong Khang is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of MK Group, a leading Asian company specializing in smart cards, AI cameras, secure ID documents, and digital security solutions. An MBA alumnus of Boise State University, USA, he has guided the company’s growth into diversified areas, including security authentication and defense industry solutions, positioning MK as one of the first private enterprises in Vietnam to participate in the defense industry.

Under his leadership, MK Group has developed a range of “Make-in-Vietnam” devices, including chip operating systems, multiple-application smart cards, MFA/one-time password authentication solutions, EMV card issuance solutions, e-ID document issuance solution. Between 2018 and 2021, MK partnered with most Vietnamese banks in the nationwide migration from magnetic stripe to chip payment cards.

Since 2021, the company has produced over 100 million chip-based citizen identity cards, supporting the development of Vietnam’s national digital identification platform. MK Group operates five factories in Vietnam, along with smart card factories in Brazil and Ethiopia, bringing Vietnam-owned technologies to international markets
