A visionary architect celebrated for her bold and innovative designs, Nguyen Ha is best known for the groundbreaking Mother Goddess Museum, created for artist Xuan Hinh

Before establishing ARB Architects in Vietnam in 2009, Nguyen Ha was awarded a prestigious master’s scholarship in architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, where she also began her professional career.

Her journey to success was not without challenges. Many of her early designs were met with rejection, yet she remained undeterred, refining her craft and pushing creative boundaries. Her perseverance culminated in the completion of the Dao Mau Museum, an architectural masterpiece spanning over 5,000 square metres and constructed from millions of reclaimed tiles sourced from households across Vietnam. The project garnered critical acclaim and cemented her reputation as one of the country’s most forward-thinking architects.

In early 2023, Nguyen Ha became the first Vietnamese recipient of the Moira Gemmill Award at the W Awards 2024, an honour bestowed annually by The Architectural Review and The Architects’ Journal.
