Nguyen Duc Thuan

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuan is known as the “footwear tycoon” or “shoe king” thanks to his great contributions to the footwear manufacturing and export industry. He is the founder and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) and General Director of TBS Group – one of the largest multi-industry corporations in Vietnam, focusing on footwear manufacturing, real estate, logistics and tourism.

In 2019, he founded Mai House Saigon, a luxury boutique hotel brand that combines modern Vietnamese culture with French colonial design. Mai House Saigon is his first project in the hospitality industry, receiving the “Best Boutique Hotel in Vietnam” award at the World Travel Awards 2023. By 2025, Mai House has expanded its branch in Hoi An and is planning for Da Nang. Mr. Thuan shared that this is his “long-term dream”, to create a Vietnamese hotel brand that can “stand shoulder to shoulder with luxury hotels in the world”.
