The competition’s tough at the top when it comes to women’s snooker. But On-yee, who spent her youth refining her cue skills at the snooker hall where her father worked, has proved that she has what it takes to triumph on the baize. In 2018 she became the first Asian winner of the Women’s World Snooker Championship, also winning the Australian Women’s Snooker Open and the UK Women’s Snooker Championship. A bumper year—but she insists it’s just the beginning.
