Singaporean human rights lawyer and founder of Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights and Fair Future
Natasha Latiff is an international human rights lawyer from Singapore, recognised for her pioneering work in advancing gender justice in conflict and post-conflict settings. She is the founder of Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights (SAHR) and its sister organisation Women for Justice in Afghanistan, which empower women human rights defenders and lawyers to represent survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, torture, and other grave human rights violations.
Through SAHR’s Gender Justice Accelerator Program, Natasha mentors and collaborates with civil society leaders from the Global South and East to drive law and policy reform on issues such as sexual violence, torture, and accountability for war crimes. She is also the founder of Fair Future, an initiative that strengthens corporate accountability and engagement with communities affected by business-related human rights abuses in Asia, using a survivor-centred approach.
Over the past 15 years, Natasha has documented human rights violations, represented survivors in justice and remediation processes, and provided technical advice to governments, businesses, and UN agencies. She has also contributed to the drafting of landmark laws and policies on issues such as virginity testing, sexual harassment, and witness protection.
Natasha holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Distinction from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
