Actress, Presenter, Eco Activist, Founder of We The Good Singapore, Ambassador, We The Good
Nadya Hutagalung’s popularity began in 1995 as one of the first VJs on MTV Asia, but it isn’t limited to her career in show business.
Thanks to her passionate work raising awareness towards environmental issues, in 2015 Hutagalung was appointed by the United Nations to be a Grasp (Great Apes Survival Partnership) Ambassador, alongside other prominent conservationists like the famed Jane Goodall and paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey.
Hutagalung continues to work with countless foundations and non-government organisations, including serving as an adviser for The Jane Goodall Institute Singapore. She has also been Singapore’s ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour for many years. Hutagalung recently co-founded the Singapore-based organisation We The Good, which aims to create a platform for people to give back in times of crisis.

In 2018, Hutagalung released a coffee-table book entitled Walk with Me, which narrates her life story from her early years to finding her life’s meaning in environmental work.
