Monique Lhuillier

Monique Lhuillier is a Filipino-American fashion designer whose name has become synonymous with modern American eveningwear, bridal fashion and red-carpet dressing. Raised in a creative family—as the daughter of jeweller Michel Lhuillier and former model Amparito Lhuillier—her international upbringing and education at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising shaped her refined aesthetic. Three decades after establishing her eponymous label in Los Angeles, she remains a powerhouse in luxury fashion, with flagship salons in New York, Los Angeles and Orange County.

Lhuillier’s label gained global prominence in 2004 when she designed pop star Britney Spears’ wedding dress, quickly becoming a fixture on international red carpets. Updating her signature cocktail dresses and gala gowns for contemporary clientele, the archival-inspired collection introduced a more relaxed approach to formal dressing, demonstrating the enduring staying power of a designer who built a globally recognized luxury brand while retaining a distinct perspective on femininity and craftsmanship.
