Ming Chen

Founder and CEO, KKDay

Through travel-experience platform KKDay, highly curated experiences are within reach

Having previously set up two travel-related ventures prior to KKDay, Ming Chen is no stranger to the industry. It was in 2014 when Chen launched KKDay, a travel e-commerce platform where travellers could choose from thousands of experiences in various countries.

KKDay went on to expand its operations in ten countries, including Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand. Just this 2021, the platform raised US$75 million in a Series C funding round led by Cool Japan Fund and Taiwan's National Development Fund.

Through this fund, KKDay plans to build a new booking management platform and expand its coverage globally. In the same year, KKDay was also named as one of the “Next Big” representatives of Startup Island Taiwan, a national start-up brand backed by the National Development Council.

In response to changing trends caused by the pandemic, KKday began specializing in various destinations within Taiwan.
