Not only has Michael “Mike” Huang “brought the best of the world to Philippines” (Rustan’s previous slogan), he is now bringing the best of Philippines to the world. Talent runs in the family but Mike is making his presence more than felt. Currently, he holds the impressive role of VP for Store Development and Expansions of Rustan’s Commercial Corporation, one of the country’s leading retailers. He has led the development of Rustans’ new store in Ayala Centre Cebu and the expansion of their Gateway Mall in Cubao. Mike graduated from the EMBA program at Kellogg-HKUST and is steadily growing the business and infusing new ideas. He was on PeopleAsia’s 2016 list for Men Who Matter. He hopes to showcase craft from indigenous people; his purpose is to give small business owners “a chance to sell their products on a year-round basis.” He looks forward to contributing to their portfolio of brands and maintaining Rustans’ top-notch corporate culture in all their future developments. He is married to athlete Kathy Yap Huang.
