This founder makes heat waves bearable—no electricity required
Inspired by the heat-deflecting hairs of ants found in the Sahara, Dr Martin Zhu helped turn groundbreaking research into cooling paint and film that aid climate resilience. In 2024 alone, his company i2Cool raised US$13.8 million, expanded by 400 per cent and delivered more than 200 projects across 29 markets, for clients including the Hong Kong Coliseum and Central Plaza, one of the tallest buildings in the city.
