President and CEO, GCash (Mynt - Globe Fintech Innovations)
GCash CEO advancing fintech innovation and financial inclusion across the Philippines
At the helm of Mynt, the company behind GCash, Martha Sazon continues to redefine financial services in the Philippines. Since becoming president and CEO in June 2020, she has overseen the rapid growth of GCash, expanding its offerings from mobile payments and remittances to savings, investments and innovative digital solutions that bring financial inclusion to millions of Filipinos previously excluded from traditional banking.
Sazon has strengthened the platform’s technical infrastructure while championing user-centric innovation. GCash Overseas is now accessible in six countries, with partnerships such as Alipay+ enabling QR payments across 16 markets. Recent collaborations with Xendit have simplified remittances, cutting processing time and fees for millions of users. As of October 2024, GCash serves over 94 million Filipinos, making it the nation’s most widely used finance app.
In 2025, Sazon’s influence extended further. She was named one of Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful Women in Asia for the second consecutive year, cementing her reputation as a global fintech leader. Under her guidance, GCash has pioneered advances in AI and security, while continuing to drive financial inclusion across the country, ensuring even the most underserved communities can participate in the digital economy.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sazon embodies a vision of technology with purpose—combining innovation, accessibility and trust to transform the way Filipinos manage and grow their finances.
“As long as there are Filipinos who have unmet needs or aren’t able to access financial services, we will always have innovations to work on.”
