President and CEO, GCash (Mynt - Globe Fintech Innovations)
GCash CEO advancing fintech innovation and financial inclusion across the Philippines
At the helm of Mynt, the parent company behind GCash, Martha Sazon continues to redefine financial services in the Philippines. Since becoming president and CEO in June 2020, she has overseen the rapid transformation of GCash from a mobile e-wallet into the country’s leading financial technology platform, expanding its suite beyond payments and remittances to include savings, credit, investments and insurance.
Under Sazon’s leadership, GCash has become an everyday financial tool for more than 60 million users, representing over 80 per cent of the Philippines’ adult population. The platform’s global reach has expanded significantly through GCash Overseas across six countries and Alipay+ partnerships enabling QR payments in 16 markets. In 2026, Mynt secured official approval from the Philippine Stock Exchange and pre-effective clearance from the Securities and Exchange Commission for its historic initial public offering. Aiming to raise up to PHP 92.32 billion (US$1.47 billion), the blockbuster deal stands as the largest stock market debut in Philippine history.
Driven by a focus on financial inclusion, Sazon has used GCash’s scale to provide underserved communities with access to formal financial tools, livelihood support and government assistance. In 2026, GCash expanded its role in developing local technology talent by partnering with De La Salle University to launch the NextGen Tech Builders Programme—the company’s first university elective focused on large-scale fintech engineering. Recognized on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Asia list, Sazon continues to combine technology with purpose, shaping how millions of Filipinos save, borrow and participate in the digital economy.
“As long as there are Filipinos who have unmet needs or aren’t able to access financial services, we will always have innovations to work on.”
