Former banker Marisa Teo decided to take on third-generation duties at her family's lighting business, before witnessing a gap in the market which led her to starting her own innovative lighting brand to fulfill it. Named Maerich, the brand allows customers to customise their products from elements such as the different combinations of glass plates to its functionality, after which it is finally completed with a luxurious finish. Since its launch in 2013, its products are now available in over 20 countries, and even endorsed by some of the world's leading lighting designers.
