Driven by his goal to develop innovative and sustainable eye solutions and his fear of "being ordinary", ophthalmologist Marcus Ang dedicates most of his time to caring for others in and outside of his clinic at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Marcus is a key force behind the Mobile Eye Clinic, supported by the Singapore Society of Ophthalmology and Standard Chartered Bank, which provides eye care to the elderly who lack mobility and access to treatments. Marcus is also venturing beyond local borders with the non-profit Global Clinic and is planning a programme to set up free eye clinics and educate doctors, nurses and optometrists in Myanmar.
