From his stint as a Coca-Cola model in the 90’s, Marco Lobregat has gone on to be “The World’s Hottest Mushroom Farmer”. The Buzzfeed accolade stems from how he was the co-founder of Ministry of Mushrooms, which went from a mushroom farm to an advocacy that supports farmers, promotes local produce, and fights against breast cancer through the Mushrooms Go Pink campaign. Additionally, they produced Summer Peace Festival 2013 to raise the spirits of violence-ridden Metro Manilla, with experiential activities like tree planting. Although the farm closed in 2013, Marco’s advocacy was not over. In 2014, he joined marketing-communications company GeiserMaclang as Senior Marketing and Communications Strategist, educating farmers about high-yield crops amongst other roles. In 2015, he was TV host for The Green Mind on Lifestyle, which examined healthy living. In 2016, he was the host of Philippine Tatler Insider: Hotel Tours, Philtatler.com’s first video series featuring some of the top luxury hotels. Moreover, Marco was his father’s chief of staff during his 2013 and 2016 campaigns. Thankfully, Celso Lobregat is now the Representative of Zamboanga City! His dedication to the environment, outgoing personality, and dashing looks have garnered him 19k Instagram followers.
