For helping both Indonesia’s environment and its indigenous people
Marcellinus Jerry Winata founded non-profit organisation the Bawah Anambas Foundation in 2018 to restore and conserve the biodiversity and marine environment of the Riau Islands off the coast of Sumatra, while also helping to improve indigenous communities’ welfare. He formerly worked in food security and sustainable development for the United Nations and the World Bank.
