A graduate from Parsons School of Design in New York in the US, Maibelle Lin worked in interface design for a game company and served as a senior designer responsible for interaction design, user experience and man-machine interface in a number of startup companies in Silicon Valley. In 2011, she founded Pinkoi, a design product shopping website, together with two partners. As a co-founder and chief product officer, she considers Pinkoi from the perspective of users and designers in different countries, so as to build an international platform. Apart from planning and decision-making, design strategy and user interface, she also pays close attention to aesthetic details and the simplicity of the user experience. As of June 2018, Pinkoi had more than 2.15 million members and was available for browsing in five languages (Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese and Thai) and for shopping in 12 currencies. In 2016, Pinkoi acquired iichi, a Japanese handicraft e-commerce platform. Pinkoi has had an office in Thailand since 2015 and has recently entered Malaysia, with plans to penetrate the Mainland China market.
