Lu Piqiang (John)

Model

Born in the 1990s, Lu Piqiang is a leading fashion model from China. In 2012, Piqiang participated in the final of the Shanghai International Model Competition and won second prize, which marked the beginning of his modelling career. With good looks and at a lofty height of 1.9m, Piqiang was picked by Kris Van Assche, the design director of Dior Homme, to be the opening model for the brand’s debut in China. Following that, Piqiang appeared on the cover of a number of domestic and foreign fashion magazines and on stage at the world’s four major fashion weeks, becoming a favourite in fashion circles at home and abroad. In recent years, Piqiang has paid more attention to his development in China, filming commercials for both domestic and international brands, including Samsung, Orion and GXG, and participated in the reality show Grade One on Hunan TV. In his view, fashion is about attitude and thought rather than appearance, and what matters most to him is to be independent and confident.
