Lu Mengxi is the owner of Chateau Luyi. In 2014, Lu founded wine brand Luyi. In July 2017, Luyi reached an exclusive agreement with Kerry Wines, a wine company under Kerry Group, and participated in the Shanghai International Wine Challenge (SIWC) where it won a silver medal in the blind tasting competition. Luyi wines have been sold online and offline by Hema Fresh as a representative of domestic wines and have yielded good sales. In early 2018, Luyi’s Pinot Noir 2014 was selected by Amanyangyun, a luxury resort and hotel outside Shanghai, as the only Chinese wine to be served to guests.
