Lu Cheng studied financial mathematics at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and the University of Liverpool. During his last college year he created Timeet, a timetable matching social network that swept across 53 universities in the UK and China in just three months. In May 2014, Cheng founded Raven Tech to develop a next-generation operating system based on artificial intelligence and new interactions. In the past two years, famous products launched by Raven Tech include the minimalist music player Music Flow, which has millions of users, the world’s first online IM+AI Chatbot product Flow, and the smart home control hardware of modular design Raven H-1. In February 2017, Baidu announced a wholly-owned acquisition of Raven Tech and Cheng joined Baidu with his team as intelligent hardware general manager. In July 2018, Cheng left Baidu.
