CEO Loh Lik Peng has grown Unlisted Collection into a lifestyle force to be reckoned with. Comprising five unique hotels and more than 20 restaurants, each property encompasses the firm’s commitment to put out design-driven, cutting-edge concepts that create a memorable guest experience.
Loh’s culinary brands, such as Marguerite, Burnt Ends, Nouri and Zén, have carved out their own individual niche in the culinary arena with their imaginative menus and design concepts Similarly, his global hotel properties—such as Ireland’s Trinity Townhouse Hotel in Dublin, London’s Town Hall Hotel and The Old Clare Hotel in Sydney—embody an eclectic, cosmopolitan vibe, rooted in iconic heritage buildings.
In 2021, he acquired the five-star Castlemartyr Resort in Cork County, Ireland together with business partner Stanley Quek, and opened the modern restaurant Terre on the property in 2022.
What many may not know is that for the past two decades, Loh has quietly channeled a significant portion of his time into public service. His journey into this unexpected path began with a surprise phone call from Madam Kay Kuok, inviting him to join the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) board when he was in his late 20s. This first “public duty” set him on a trajectory where he was continuously courted to serve various public and cultural institutions.
Today, Loh is a stalwart of Singapore’s cultural landscape. He currently chairs the School of the Arts (Sota), the Singapore Cruise Centre, and Shatec, and serves as the deputy chairman of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) and a board member of the National Heritage Board (NHB). Though he dedicates an estimated 30 per cent of his time to these roles, Loh remains incredibly humble about the work, believing in the value of serving one's community.
