Liu Zhe studied at Ecole Polytechnique in France and Imperial College London in the UK and has a doctorate from the Imagine Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, a top institute of engineers in France. Zhe is a leader in high-precision 3D image construction. He and his team won first prize in NASA’s Global Challenge on Mars’ Surface Reconstruction. Before establishing Malu Innovation, he was an algorithm engineer for Chinese technology company DJI, responsible for such projects as auto drive, vision-based obstacle avoidance and image stabilisation. In 2015, Zhe won second prize in Alibaba’s Guizhou-Cloud Big Data – the Big Challenge of Algorithm for Intelligent Transportation Systems, and the Geek Award in the Yunqi 24-hour Ultimate Challenge.
