Liu Qingyang was born in Beijing and grew up in Hong Kong. She went to study in the UK at the age of 18 and returned home five years later. Based on a unique understanding of fabric, Liu Qingyang blends interesting patterns with special fabric structures or textures. She is crazy about fancy patterns. In her view, textile printing is the most intuitive medium of beauty and design. Distinct from traditional fashion printing, her design themes are witty and striking, ranging from teapots and dolls to animals and insects, and winning her the name “Queen of Printing” in the media. Qingyang is devoted to the originality and sense of fun in her designs. A pursuer of vintage style, she explores the essence of history from a unique perspective and keeps innovating vintage styles and patterns and treading her own path into fashion’s future. In 2016, Qingyang was rated the most popular fashion designer of the year at the 2016 Digital Fashion Festival held by Baidu and Hylink.
