Part of the new generation of architects and interior designers in China, Liu Haowei is founder and chief architect of CAA (Core of Architecture & Art Associates), founder and CEO of CAA LAB, and a public artist. Haowei graduated from the department of architecture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and has been named one of the 100 most influential architects and interior designers in China. Since founding CAA in 2005, Haowei has developed his practice into a renowned design agency with projects in New York, Los Angeles, Beijing, and Shanghai. His works include the compartment interiors for the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, Nanzhao Folklore Island in Dali, Weifang Culture and Art Centre, Smile Angels Children’s Hospital, and a private chateau in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, as well as artistic installations titled End of The World, City Evolution and Floating Organism.
