Lisa Ongpin-Periquet

Co-founder, Art Fair Philippines

She is the co-founder of one of the country’s most significant annual art events, Art Fair Philippines

Having come from a family of art connoisseurs, Ongpin-Periquet also took an interest in arts and culture. Her great-grandfather Alfonso Ongpin was one of the biggest art collectors before the war ensued, and his life has always piqued Ongpin-Periquet’s curiosity.

It was a no-brainer that she would pursue a career in arts, starting with completing her Art History degree at the University of Virginia. She had a short stint at the Phillips auction house in London before moving back to Manila and working with the Museum Foundation. Through her love for arts, Ongpin-Periquet would cross paths with Trickie Lopa and Dindin de Borja Araneta. These two would later become her partners in running Art Fair Philippines, an annual event that features the works of contemporary and iconic artists across various media. Outside arts, Ongpin-Periquet is wife to her once-college sweetheart Anton Periquet and mother to three children. As a family, they like to eat pizza while watching movies together.

Art Fair Philippines has returned to its original home in The Link carpark this 2023. Celebrating ten years, the event featured a combined total of 64 local and international galleries. Its sister event, Art in the Park, also returned to an in-person format in 2023 with record attendance and a waitlist.
