Singer
With over three decades of artistic activity and numerous achievements, Hồng Nhung maintains a distinct place in the hearts of her audience.
Born in 1970 in Hanoi to an intellectual family with a cultural background, she soon revealed her musical talent and quickly achieved success. Thanks to the guidance of musician Duong Thu, at the age of 15, Hong Nhung won the Gold Medal at the 4th National Professional Music and Dance Festival.
The biggest turning point in Hong Nhung’s career was in the early 90s, when she began to associate with and renew the songs of musician Trinh Cong Son. Trinh Cong Son himself affirmed that “Hong Nhung renewed my songs”, bringing “positivity” and contemporary breath to Trinh’s music, helping her become the most successful performer of his music in two decades.
With her powerful and refined Lirico mezzo-soprano voice and graceful performance style, Hong Nhung has continuously received many prestigious awards, including eight nominations for the Dedication Award and seven consecutive years winning the “Most Favorite Singer” award from Lan Song Xanh.
Over three decades of music, Hong Nhung has continuously renewed herself, bringing the audience diverse music projects. From large-scale live shows to well-prepared studio products. In early July 2025, the female artist marked a new turning point with the song Tu hoi- a special project when she was the first artist allowed to film at the Hanoi Opera House. In this song, the female singer sent the audience melodies full of contemplation and sadness, but contained a strong spirit, like the journey and the way she chose to go through many ups and downs.
